Union Energy Announces the Introduction of Reliance Home Comfort Brand Name and the Official Opening of Its First Reliance Home Comfort Branch in London

LONDON, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - July 14, 2005) - Union Energy Limited Partnership today announced the official opening of a new 9,600 square foot branch location at 1045 Hargrieve Road, Unit A, in London, representing the company's introduction of a new name: Reliance Home Comfort. Starting with the London branch, the company plans to introduce its new name to existing Union Energy and OnSource/Ontario Hydro Energy customers across the province. An official ribbon cutting ceremony was held at 10:00 a.m. this morning attended by Union Energy LP president and CEO Roger Rossi; Fanshawe College Woodstock Campus Principal, Sheri Knott; and Toby Stolee, President of the London Home Builders Association and Mike Carson, Chair of Community Relations Advisory Group, London St. Thomas Real Estate Board, both representing the Home At Last Project. Both Fanshawe College and the Home at Last Project received a special donation from Reliance Home Comfort as part of this event.

"With a long history of serving London and surrounding area customers in south-western Ontario, we're very excited about adopting Reliance Home Comfort as our new name as it better reflects our service promise to our customers: who we are, what we do and, how we do it. We are committed to the delivery of timely service and reliable products, making our customers feel right at home. Our knowledgeable staff take care to recommend choices that are right for our customers," said Roger Rossi, Union Energy LP President and CEO at the event, adding: "What makes Reliance Home Comfort different is our personalized service. Backed by a leading organization, customers can count on our friendly, knowledgeable staff and qualified service technicians, based locally in the community, to do what's right for them, demonstrating our respect for the customer and their home."

The new Reliance Home Comfort larger location, which features approximately 9,600 square feet of office and warehouse space, replaces the two former Union Energy LP branch offices previously located at 150 and 360 Exeter Road. Reliance Home Comfort will continue to provide complementary essential home comfort products and services to customers previously served by Union Energy and OnSource/Ontario Hydro Energy in the London and surrounding areas. Approximately 75 Reliance Home Comfort employees are employed in the London location.

"Efficiently operating our company and serving our customers is a key priority for Reliance Home Comfort," says Union Energy LP president and CEO Roger Rossi, adding: "A new, larger London branch office provides our employees with an attractive and comfortable work environment, enabling them to continue to provide efficient, home comfort solutions based on our customers' needs."

Reliance Home Comfort announced a donation of $1,000 to Fanshawe College, to support its Mechanical, Heating and Cooling Technician program, a two-year diploma program, which includes Gas Tech 3 and 2 certification and the TSSA Gas Tech 3 and Gas Tech 2 certification courses. Sheri Knott, Principal, Woodstock Campus, Fanshawe College accepted the donation on behalf of the college.

"We work hard to ensure we have the highest caliber of employees serving our customers' essential home comfort needs. Our qualified, industry certified technicians serve over 1-million customers in Ontario. Programs, like Fanshawe College's, offering natural gas technician certification are instrumental in meeting a growing demand for qualified technicians in this business," adds Rossi.

"Fanshawe College is honoured to accept this generous donation to support our Mechanical, Heating and Cooling Technician program. Reliance Home Comfort's support of our programs helps us to be a leader in Ontario in this kind of training. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership in future years," says Sheri Knott, Principal, Woodstock Campus, Fanshawe College.

As well, Reliance Home Comfort presented a high efficiency furnace and air conditioner to the Home At Last Program, a new initiative by the London Home Builders' Association (LHBA) and the London St. Thomas Real Estate Board. Toby Stolee, President of the LHBA, and Mike Carson, Chair, Community Relations Advisory Group for the London St. Thomas Real Estate Board accepted the donation on behalf of the Home at Last Project, which provides home ownership opportunities for families currently living in social housing and a valuable training experience for students from the Thames Valley District School Board.
