MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - July 1, 2015) - The 1,600 United Food & Commercial Workers (UFCW) Locals 175 & 633 members working at Zehrs Great Foods and Real Canadian Superstores (RCSS) in Kent, Essex and Lambton counties, will begin legal strike action on July 2 at 12:01 a.m.
The Ministry of Labour Conciliation Officer has asked all parties involved in this set of negotiations to return to the bargaining table. As such, bargaining will also recommence as of July 2, however, UFCW Locals 175 & 633 members will proceed with their strike action in the meantime.
The nine affected stores where Union members will be picketing are:

At the request of the Ministry of Labour appointed conciliation officer, the Union will not communicate any further with the media at this time.
UFCW Locals 175 & 633 represents 74,000 Union members working across Ontario, including 18,000 at Loblaw-owned locations.
