UnionTown Energy Inc. (UTOG) Begins Drilling Second Well on Teton River Property

BILLINGS, MT--(Marketwire - Jul 7, 2011) - UnionTown Energy Inc. (OTCBB: UTOG) (PINKSHEETS: UTOG) is pleased to announce it has begun drilling a second well on its Teton River property.

Drilling operations on the Teton River #2A-10 well are expected to last 3 to 4 days.

This is the second well in a planned group of 5 wells that UnionTown intends to drill in phase one of its drilling program at Teton River. The company has already received permits from the Montana Oil & Gas Commission to drill all five wells in the phase-one program. A sixth well may be required for use as a water source to facilitate the completion of the 5 planned wells.

The Teton River #2A-10 will target the Swift Sandstone formation. UnionTown anticipates that the well will be drilled vertically to a depth of approximately 2,000 feet.

Located in northwest Montana, Teton River is an 11,000-acre property situated atop a known, but underdeveloped, shallow heavy oil province that covers approximately 700,000 square miles. As reported on June 28, 2011, UnionTown's drilling operations on its first well at Teton River, well #1A-10, resulted in positive oil showings. Previously, heavy oil has been produced on the Teton River property through use of steam flooding.

"We look forward to completing the first phase of the Teton River drilling program and to further develop our reserve estimation models," said Darren Stevenson, UnionTown's President and CEO. "We anticipate that we could produce oil from this property within 60-90 days depending on the availability of equipment and trades required to bring the wells onto production."
