Unitime Systems Releases UNITIME v8

New Version of Automated Timekeeping System Features Redesigned GUI That Greatly Enhances Workflow for Users

BOULDER, CO--(Marketwire - September 20, 2007) - Unitime Systems, Inc., a leading developer of workforce management software, announced today that it has released UNITIME v8; the company's flagship automated timekeeping system.

The major enhancement of the Version 8 release is the greatly enhanced workflow, thanks to a completely redesigned graphical user interface (GUI) that provides richer and more flexible functionality than competing products.

Version 8's new, user-friendly GUI gives the product a more intuitive look and feel that helps users complete their daily and weekly tasks in less time. UNITIME v8 gives each user the ability to customize the application based on personal preferences. With the ability to tailor the software's "task dashboard," Version 8 users choose only the functionality they need and aren't bogged down with screens that they don't use or want. Supervisors will find the new, well thought out GUI easy to navigate as they follow their daily work processes.

"Improving the business lives of our customers was the overriding consideration when we were deciding what features and functionality would be included in the Version 8 release," said Bill Korstad, Unitime Systems' chief executive officer and co-founder. "Other timekeeping systems feature lots of bells and whistles, but they are not easy to use. UNITIME v8 offers even more robust functionality than competing products AND that functionality can be accessed in a way that is intuitive and efficient for the user."

Another significant new feature of Version 8 is a rebuilt technology foundation using Microsoft's .NET framework. "Rebuilding the foundation of UNITIME on Microsoft .NET signifies a new vision for our company and products," said Doug Peterman, Unitime Systems' president and co-founder. "This new development framework will give us faster release schedules and a more agile development process. We'll be able to respond to customer requests, changes in the marketplace, new legislation and other variables much more rapidly."

UNITIME v8's new functionality includes Supervisor Data Collection, a tool that gives supervisors the ability to easily enter in hours worked without time consuming punch edits; Key Performance Indicators, configurable graphs and charts that give supervisors real-time productivity information; UNITIME Messaging, an "email-like" system for sending notes to and from others within the UNITIME application; and Time-Off Requests, a sophisticated absence management tool for alerting supervisors of pending vacation, sick, annual leave, or other work-related absences.
