Universal Detection Technology to Attend Third Annual Conference on Identifying, Managing, and Mitigating the CBRN Threat

Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Conference to Be Held January 22-24, 2008 in Virginia

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - January 22, 2008) - Universal Detection Technology ( (OTCBB: UDTT) (FRANKFURT: PO8), a developer of early warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats and provider of counter-terrorism consulting and training services, announced that its management will be attending the 3rd annual CBRN conference. The conference is aimed at identifying, managing and mitigating the CBRN threat and is one of the largest industry events. The objective is facilitating an inter-agency consequence management strategy to achieve international resilience by coordinating CBRN resources from planning to post incident management.

The 2008 CBRN conference is chaired by Lieutenant Colonel Elliot Grollman, Commander of the Federal Protective Service at the US Department of Homeland Security.
