Universal Detection Technology in Deal With MGP Instruments to Add Radiological Detection Equipment to Its Host of Counter Terrorism Technologies and Solutions

Company in Partnership With Leading Manufacturer of Radiological and Nuclear Detectors

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - July 12, 2007) - Universal Detection Technology ( (OTCBB: UDTT), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats and provider of counter-terrorism consulting and training services, announced today that it has started to offer detection of radiological and nuclear risks.

UDTT, on its own and with development partners, is positioned to capitalize on opportunities related to Homeland Security. It has formed an agreement with MGP Instruments, a leading manufacturer of radiological and nuclear detection instruments to market and sell technologies used for identifying such threats. In addition to manufacturing nuclear and radiological detectors, MGP Instruments represents global and Israeli high tech suppliers of detection technologies.
