Universal Detection Technology to Demonstrate Anthrax Detection Technology to the Los Angeles County Fire Department HAZMAT Unit

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 15, 2007 -- Universal Detection Technology ( (OTCBB: UDTT), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and provider of counter-terrorism products and services, announced today that it is scheduled to demonstrate its Anthrax detection technology as well as biohazard stimulant technology to the Los Angeles County Fire Department HAZMAT Unit. The HAZMAT unit, one of the largest in the country, responds to over 2,600 hazardous material emergency incidents per year.

The Company recently announced the fulfillment of its first-ever purchase order from the U.S. Army. The U.S. Army Dugway Proving Ground is a major range and testing facility, and the primary chemical and biological defense testing center for the military.
