Universal Detection Technology Enters Into Distribution Agreement With Brazil-Based ORMAX Tecnologia

ORMAX Will Distribute UNDT's Biological, Chemical and Radiation Detection Equipment in Brazil, Site of the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Summer Olympics

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - December 20, 2010) - Universal Detection Technology ( (OTCBB: UNDT), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats and provider of counter-terrorism consulting and training services, announced today that it has entered into a distribution agreement with Brazil-based ORMAX Tecnologia em Seguranca. ORMAX will distribute UNDT's biological, chemical, and radiation detection equipment in Brazil, site of the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Summer Olympics.

Sao Paulo based ORMAX Tecnologia em Seguranca (, founded by experts in the security field, specializes in all aspects of the safety and security business, residential, perimeter, personnel, intelligence and counterintelligence with products suited for the Brazilian market.

Recent U.S. government reports state that Brazil is vulnerable to a terrorist attack and Al-Qaeda is known to have operatives in Brazil. Brazil was also the victim of an attempted anthrax attack in 2003. Brazil will host the 2014 soccer World Cup and 2016 Summer Olympics and authorities are increasingly concerned about a potential terrorist attack.

UNDT's biodetection equipment has been extensively used by first responders and private industry throughout the country and internationally. The equipment has been evaluated by the U.S. DOD as well as the United Kingdom military. The equipment's capacities include:
