Universal Detection Technology Offers Leasing Options for Electrostatic Fogger Used for Disinfecting Large Areas of MRSA and Other Bacteria

Electrostatic Fogger Is Now More Affordable Through Leasing Option

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - June 10, 2008) - Universal Detection Technology ( (OTCBB: UDTT) (FRANKFURT: PO8), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats and provider of counter-terrorism consulting and training services, reported that it now offers lease financing options for its electrostatic foggers.

UDTT's electrostatic foggers are for professional level sanitizing and are used for disinfecting large areas of MRSA and other bacteria. By simply adding UDTT's Vital Oxide and applying it to surfaces and environments using UDTT's electrostatic fogger, schools and hospitals can substantially benefit through the health advantages of bacteria-free climates.

Of all the antibiotic resistant bacteria prevalent today, MRSA and Clostridium difficile have been responsible for the most hospitalizations and fatalities. MRSA is responsible for more than 94,000 serious infections and nearly 19,000 deaths each year and the gut superbug, Clostridium difficile played a role in 300,000 hospitalizations in 2005, more than double the number in 2000. UDTT's electrostatic fogger, when used with the Vital Oxide solution, not only eliminates these bacteria it also sterilizes the treated area against other organisms such as toxic mold.

UDTT's Silver Anti-Bac product range has been successfully tested on over 50 different organisms including Clostridium difficile in over 2,000 applications. The products range from surface sprays to washing machine additives and hand creams.

"With our new arrangement we anticipate to make out electrostatic fogger more affordable for users and we hope that this can make our valuable product more accessible in schools, where children are at the danger of encountering antibiotic resistant bacteria and in hospitals, where superbugs have become a major problem," said Mr. Jacques Tizabi, UDTT's Chief Executive Officer.
