Universal Detection Technology Receives First Purchase Order for Its Radiation Detection Devices

Purchase Order Received for X-ray, Beta, and Gamma Electronic Dosimeter

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - September 4, 2007) - Universal Detection Technology ( (OTCBB: UDTT), a developer and marketer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism, announced today that it has received its first purchase order for one of the products within the company's newly added line of radiological detection systems. The purchase order is for a dosimeter dedicated to simultaneous measurement of x, gamma, and beta radiations. It is small, ergonomic, compact, rugged, and complies with international standards.

This is part of our ongoing strategy to become a provider of high-quality detection systems which covers numerous weapons of mass destruction.
