University of California Chooses Remedy Interactive's Injury Prevention Software to Decrease Workers' Compensation Claims and Lost Work Days

SAUSALITO, CA--(Marketwire - May 7, 2008) - As part of its commitment to employee wellness, University of California has selected Remedy Interactive Inc. to help reduce the number of workplace injuries, workers' compensation claims and lost work days among staff members. After an initial pilot project with its Office of the President, the organization signed a system-wide three-year contract to roll out Remedy Interactive's enterprise injury prevention software to a broader employee population in 2008.

With 170,000 faculty and staff spread out over 19 campuses, medical centers and labs and offices, the University of California school system is one of the largest in the nation. Prior to working with Remedy Interactive, each campus managed its health and safety programs independently, making it difficult for the University of California to track employee safety, maintain consistent processes, and share best practices across all of its campuses. The organization also needed a proactive consolidated system that allowed managers to assess and analyze risks of injury and lost work day drivers to improve operational processes and safety program efficiencies.

In August 2003, University of California's Office of the President first implemented Remedy Interactive's OES, a flexible web-based solution that uses business process automation to drive injury prevention programs, at two campuses: U.C. San Diego and U.C. Irvine. Due to the success of this installation, University of California will implement Remedy Interactive's OES to 60,000 employees on additional campuses and offices throughout the state of California.
