University Electronics Having Great Success Selling Pioneering's Safe-T-element™ to College Market in the United States

University Electronics has Acquired 28 New University and College Customers in 15 States to Date.

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 16, 2007) - Pioneering Technology Inc. of Mississauga, Ontario (TSX VENTURE:PIO), ("Pioneering") announced today that distribution partner University Electronics ("UE") of Elizabeth New Jersey is having great success distributing the Safe-T-element™ cooking system to the college and university market.

Since joining forces in February 2007, UE, a sales and marketing company that sells fire safety devices, small appliances and energy management systems to the college and university market in the U.S., has acquired 28 new university & college customers to date in 15 states representing an initial market opportunity of over 10,000 units. New UE customers to date include schools from Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Texas.

Scott W. Riley, University Electronics' president and CEO said, "We have been amazed with the success we have been having to date given that we are really just getting started. The sales cycle for new technologies like this are usually long. However given the significance of the fire problem and the focus on energy efficiency, facility managers we have been speaking to are sold on the idea before we even finish the sales pitch. Several institutions have already requested our help in lobbying their top management to set aside budgetary funds for full implementation of Safe-T-element on every cook top they have on campus."

Riley went on to say, "We just recently began introducing the product at events across the country and will continue to do so in the coming months. As the word gets out the calls come in from new customers. Interest in the product is outstanding. Requests are being received daily from colleges and universities as well as fire safety officials and organizations across the country for our sales staff to bring the product to individual campuses/ locations and demonstrate Safe-T-element to additional campus officials; school administrators; and city, county and state fire officials. Demand is so high that we have had to add to our west coast staffing."

Pioneering CEO Kevin Callahan said, "We are very happy with the relationship we have forged with UE and the success they have had to date penetrating this market. Their access to key decision makers and the professional manner in which they operate in this market is having a significant impact. Our focus on partnering with world class distribution partners like UE will help ensure the product's future success."
