University of Michigan Selects HTH Worldwide to Provide Health Insurance and Services for Education Abroad Programs

RADNOR, PA--(Marketwire - March 26, 2008) - HTH Worldwide, the leading provider of international health plans and online health and security information to the international education community, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the University of Michigan to cover all undergraduate students and selected other students participating in University for-credit or administered programs outside of the United States. Every year, over 250,000 U.S. students studying abroad need health insurance and access to quality healthcare. Study abroad activity continues to grow rapidly despite security concerns around the world.

Representing one of the largest study abroad contingents in the country, University of Michigan students gain access online and via handheld communication devices to important global health and security databases at HTH's growing global physician community gives members timely access to over 4,000 contracted doctors in 180 countries, and the company's health and security databases cover over 700 popular destinations abroad.

HTH Worldwide is a nationally known product leader, says Robert Winfield, the University of Michigan's chief health officer and director of the Health Service. "This travel health insurance program though HTH was created in response to an awareness that some of our students were traveling abroad with no or inadequate health insurance, and we felt obliged, as a university, to address this gap," says Winfield. The new travel abroad health insurance policy fills a major gap in University of Michigan-sponsored insurance for the more than 2,500 students traveling abroad for purposes related to their degree studies -- studying, research, internships, volunteering or working abroad.

Currently serving a client base of more than 400 institutional programs, HTH is the leading provider of primary health insurance for over 125,000 international students annually and also provides personal health and security knowledge tools and innovative health insurance products to thousands of global business and leisure travelers.
