Upcoming Scrum Gatherings in Lisbon, Seattle and London

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - February 2, 2011) - The Scrum Alliance is proud to sponsor the Scrum Alliance Regional Event: Portugal, to be held February 10-11 at the Hotel Olissippo Oriente in Lisbon. Scrum Regional Events offer a wonderful introduction for Scrum beginners and a chance for current practitioners to hone their skills. The two-day event is an opportunity to learn from experienced practitioners of Scrum and agile frameworks.

The Lisbon event will feature an international roster of speakers, including José Ângelo Pinto from Portugal, Lasse Koskela from Finland, and Jurgen Appelo of the Netherlands. Sessions will cover a wide range of topics, from Kanban to Cross-Functional Teams, Evolutionary Design to Fixed-price Projects, and Traditional Project Management to Full-on Scrum.

"Scrum events are always very worthwhile," said Donna Farmer, Managing Director of the Scrum Alliance. "They offer a unique opportunity to share experiences, exchange information, and collaborate with fellow Scrum users. The Scrum Alliance is happy to be involved with the event being held in Portugal."
