About Dr. Joshua Bloom
Joshua is a self-described "data-driven scientist" who leveraged the power of machine learning to enable landmark astronomy discoveries. As a professor at the University of California, Berkeley, he teaches astrophysics and Python for data science. Joshua has been a Sloan Fellow, Junior Fellow at the Harvard Society, and Hertz Foundation Fellow. He has published over 250 journal articles, and in 2010, was awarded the Pierce Prize from the American Astronomical Society. Joshua holds a PhD from Caltech and degrees from Harvard and Cambridge.
