UPDATE: CreditScore.com's New Mobile Application Advances Consumers' Ability to Manage Their Credit Score -- Wherever, Whenever

Free Credit Score Mobile Application for Apple iPhone and iPad

CALABASAS, CA--(Marketwire - September 9, 2010) -  CreditScore.com (www.CreditScore.com), which launched earlier this year as a sister site to industry leader, CreditReport.com (www.CreditReport.com), has released a free application for Apple iPhone and iPad users.

CreditScore.com developed the mobile application as part of its "Million Score Commitment Initiative." The Initiative, announced in March 2010, pledges to deliver millions of free scores to consumers and better educate them on how to best manage financial factors affecting their credit score.

The first generation CreditScore.com iPhone and iPad application 1.0 is an easy-to-use program that educates consumers about their credit score, the factors affecting it and how to improve it -- all in a mobile environment, where consumers benefit from immediate access to the information.

The application is a learning center for people seeking to better manage their credit, by providing:

  • Access to retrieve your credit score via your iPhone or iPad browser
  • Easy tips for managing credit
  • Insight on factors influencing credit scores, positively and negatively
  • Rules for how to improve credit scores.

Future enhancements to the application will grant users on-demand access to their credit scores, automatic alerts and score-driven services -- all directly through their mobile devices.

"We see the functionality that this tool provides as another step towards helping consumers see themselves as lenders do," said Bruce Cornelius, chief revenue and marketing officer of CreditReport.com and CreditScore.com. "If you're at a car dealer negotiating the price of your new car, you will be able to pull up your credit score and use it to secure better terms on your new loan."

Consumer advocate and author of Credit Hell, Howard Dvorkin, noted that, "this application is precisely what consumers need right now -- mobile access to their credit score and educational tips on how to improve it."

CreditReport.com is America's #1 most visited credit site. According to Experian Hitwise, CreditReport.com has the #1 weekly market share in "All Categories," measured by visits, based on US usage in 2010.

To download the CreditScore.com iPhone or iPad application, go to Apple's App Store.
