NEEDHAM, MA--(Marketwire - Jul 10, 2012) - Cross channel marketing intelligence software provider Visual IQ today announced that seasoned media veteran Josh Dreller has joined the company as senior director, client and industry solutions. In this role, he will help communicate complex product and technology-related concepts to drive the company's sales and marketing efforts, translate client needs into product solutions, as well as manage its growing roster of partner and trade association relationships.
The rise of digital advertising has caused advertising and technology to grow increasingly intertwined. Dreller is adept at connecting these once-disparate worlds by translating complex ad technology concepts into useful and actionable insights for marketers and interpreting the marketing needs and business goals of advertisers into functional parameters for technologists.
"At the inflection point between advertising and technology lies a tremendous opportunity to maximize the effect of digital media," said Dreller. "Visual IQ understands this. I'm eager to help them remove the friction that often inhibits digital marketing success and take cross channel marketing analytics to the next level."
Dreller has more than a decade of experience as a media technologist in the digital marketing space and is a recognized expert on using cutting edge digital marketing and measurement tools to maximize the effect of digital media on client goals. He is a long-time member of the Standards Committee for the Digital Analytics Association (DDA), a collaborative effort between DAA members, vendors, agencies, practitioners and thought leaders to provide standard definitions and promote consistency of the most widely used terms across the analytics industry. He regularly contributes his expertise to multiple industry publications and conferences, including iMediaConnection, SearchEngineLand, The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and ad:tech.
"Josh has an in-depth understanding of the intricacies of many marketing disciplines, from search engine marketing to real time bidding media buying, as well as a big picture perspective that allows him to see how complex pieces of the marketing puzzle fit together," said Manu Mathew, Co-Founder and CEO of Visual, IQ. "This is a unique talent that we know will have tremendous benefits to our clients, partners and team, as well as the evolution of the marketing analytics industry overall. We're excited to have him on board."
Prior to joining Visual IQ, Dreller was vice president of media technology & analytics at Chicago-based digital media agency, Fuor Digital, where he stewarded the technology division for clients such as Cirque du Soleil, Tootsie Roll, Jimmy Johns, and Bahamas Tourism. He also spent many years working on the web in various positions such as project manager on Dell's multi-million dollar search account for Omnicom's global search agency, Resolution Media, and ecommerce marketing manager for Salton, Inc. with brands that include George Foreman Grills and Westinghouse.
