BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - Jul 3, 2012) - Burst, a mobile solution for families, will host a celebration and send-off for Brandeis alumnus and Olympic silver medalist in fencing Tim Morehouse as he prepares to represent the U.S. in London this summer. Joining Burst to wish Morehouse well will be Mayor Thomas M. Menino. The event will take place on Thursday, July 5 at 3:30 p.m. in Center Court at The Shops at Prudential Center and is open to the public.
As part of the event, Burst and Morehouse will unveil "Burst from Behind the Scenes in London," a new service for fans and spectators who are interested in sharing Morehouse's experience this summer. Individuals can sign up to receive free "Bursts" (videos and photos) from Morehouse as he travels to London and competes to bring home Olympic Gold for the third time in his professional fencing career.
Behind the scenes Bursts from Morehouse can be viewed on a Smartphone or any internet-enabled device and do not require a Burst user account.
"As a third-time Olympian I know there will be a host of amazing sights, sounds and experiences that so many fans won't have the opportunity to enjoy," stated Morehouse. "'Burst Behind the Scenes' from London gives me a chance to share these unique moments with my family, friends and fans cheering me on from home. Instead of visiting a website or monitoring public news feeds, I can connect directly with those who care and create a much more personal and powerful experience for them."
