Update - NETSEA Announces Grand Slam Event on July 11 for Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids Charity

Event to Feature Boston Red Sox Star Kevin Youkilis and Raise Money for Children's Charities and Medical Research Efforts in New England

BURLINGTON, MA--(Marketwire - June 11, 2008) - NETSEA, the New England Technology Sales, Marketing and Business Development Executives Association, announced a special fundraising event, "Networking With Youk," Friday, July 11, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Boston Marriott in Newton, Mass. to benefit the Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids Charity.

The event, which will be limited to 200 NETSEA members, affiliates, and invited guests, will feature a keynote address by Kevin Youkilis of the Boston Red Sox. Affectionately known as "Youk" by fans across Red Sox Nation, Kevin was a 2007 Gold Glove winner and now holds the all-time record for consecutive games at first base without committing an error. He will talk about what it takes to make it to the major leagues, life as a Red Sox, and why he thinks it's important for successful people to give back to the community.

"Kevin Youkilis epitomizes what it takes to succeed at the highest level of any profession," said Lauren Kelley, board chairman and president of NETSEA. "His grit, dedication, and constant effort have enabled him to live his dream. His journey to the majors, and routines to thrive there, will be inspirational for our sales, marketing and business development professionals in attendance."

NETSEA will donate $25,000 to the Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids -- a nonprofit organization whose mission is to make a positive difference in a child's life by channeling the time, energy, passion, and financial support of the greater community. Corporate sponsors of the NETSEA event include General Catalyst, a Cambridge-based venture capital firm, Eloqua, a leader in automating demand generation, and DLA Piper, an international legal firm representing technology and high growth firms. A few additional sponsorship opportunities are available for companies interested in supporting Kevin's charity and gaining visibility with NETSEA members.

Following the keynote address, attendees will be able to ask Kevin questions in a Q&A session, and also have a chance to win signed memorabilia.
