Update by Radisson Mining Resources Regarding Its Drill Program on the O'Brien and the Kewagama Gold Projects

ROUYN-NORANDA, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Feb. 19, 2009) - Radisson Mining Resources ("Radisson") (TSX VENTURE:RDS) is pleased to announce that is now in receipt of all the outstanding assay results from the recently completed diamond drill program on its "100% owned" O'Brien Mine and the adjoining, "100%-owned", Kewagama Mine gold projects located near Cadillac, Quebec. The O'Brien Mine Property, contains the former O'Brien Mine, which was known for its high gold grades and was considered to be the most important gold producer in the Cadillac Mining Camp in Quebec when it was in operation from the early 1930s to the mid 1950s. A new zone, the 36 East Zone, has been discovered about 2500 ft. east of the original O'Brien Mine containing comparable high-grade gold. (See the NI 43-101 Report of May 9, 2007.)

Fall 2008 Exploration Drill Program

Fourteen holes totalling 6899 meters were completed during the fall 2008 diamond drill program. The exploration drill program focused on three priority target areas on the O'Brien-and Kewagama Gold Properties, these being, the eastern extension of the 36 East Zone; a gap area between the 36 East Zone and the Kewagama Mine; and the down plunge extension of gold bearing zones beneath the historic workings at Kewagama .

Three holes, OB08-153B, 161 and 162A (hole OB08-152 was lost in the Cadillac Break) were drilled to test the eastern extension of the 36 East Zone and in particular the high grade gold values intersected in drill hole OB08-149 (see Press Release dated December 17, 2008). Assay results from hole OB08-153B included 2.3 meters grading 13.9 gpt gold. Results from OB08-161 included 1.48 meters grading 12.28 gpt gold and 0.87 meters that ran 17.45 gpt gold .

Holes KW08-155A, 157 and 158 were drilled in a gap area between the 36 East Zone and the historic Kewagama Mine. Assay results included a narrow high grade zone in hole KW08-157 that assayed 480.9 gpt Au over 0.3 meters. In addition, hole KW08-155A encountered several high grade quartz veins within the Cadillac Group sediments including 0.67 gpt gold over 0.67 meters and 35.14 gpt gold over 0.3 meters. Within the eastern extension of the O'Brien Mine stratigraphy hole KW08-155A intersected a broad low grade zone of mineralization that averaged 13.7 meters grading 2.38 gpt gold.

At the historic Kewagama Mine, seven holes, KW08-151, 154, 156, 159, 160, 163A and 164 were completed. Assay results for holes KW08-151 and KW 08-156 respectively encountered 3.0 meters grading 4.9 gpt Au and 2.0 meters grading 6.6 gpt gold. Hole KW08-164, drilled -160 meters beneath the historic Kewagama mine workings, encountered a broad zone of strong alteration which graded 13.7 meters of 1.90 gpt gold as well as a second intercept of 0.3 meters which ran 13.4 gpt gold.

Sample Preparation, Analyses and Security

The aforementioned assay and sample information as well as geological descriptions are taken from drill logs as prepared by the project geologists for the drill program. All drill cores are NQ in size and assays were done on sawn half-cores, with the second half kept for future reference. For the Infill Drill Program on 36 East Zone the samples were analyzed using standard fire assay procedures with AA finish at Techni-Lab Laboratory Inc. in Sainte-Germaine-Boule, Quebec. Samples yielding a grade higher than 3 g/t were analyzed a second time by fire assay with gravimetric finish at the same laboratory. For the Fall 2008 Exploration Drill Program, the samples were analyzed using standard fire assay procedures with AA finish at Lab-Expert Inc. in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. Samples yielding a grade higher than 1 g/t were analyzed a second time by fire assay with gravimetric finish at the same laboratory.

In addition to the standard quality control of the laboratory, a commercial standard sample and a blank sample are inserted in every shipment of 20 samples (or less) for quality control purpose. The blank samples are used to detect contamination at the laboratory while the commercial standards are used to test precision and reproducibility of results. They will represent approximately 10% of the total samples assayed.

Exploration programs on the O'Brien and the Kewagama Properties are being carried out under the direct supervision of Bruce Mackie P.Geo. (Ontario) Consulting Geologist for Radisson.
