Versatile announced in 2013 the formation of its Versatile Distribution Services (VDS) division to build upon its existing high performance computing workflow expertise supporting manufacturers, independent software vendors, and value added reseller channel partners. VDS will add to its distributed solution offerings capability by accelerating strategic growth and further differentiating the company from competitors by increasing its solutions portfolio, supply chain management, and light manufacturing services.
The GPDistribution family of solutions and key technologies are strongly aligned with the VDS strategy. The acquisition provides critical components to expand Versatile's capabilities in support of high performance computing workflows including systems management, security, data protection, and workspace management. In addition, GPDistribution's solution is highly complementary to Versatile's scalable design approach to develop solutions that scale with customer needs.

1. Media & Entertainment (M&E) ISVs and channel partners requiring procurement and integration support for their clients' video post-production workflows that have high performance software, computing, networking and storage specifications, will benefit from the one stop shopping experience. VDS provides guidance for multiple M&E workflow solutions by assisting customers with qualified technology product sourcing, configuration and testing services.
2. The expertise currently provided to the M&E industry will be leveraged to support new market opportunities including Surveillance, Digital Content Delivery, Computer Aided Design, and Healthcare workflows. The large file based workflows within these industries have many of the same challenges and requirements that VDS current M&E clients solve everyday with Versatile's support.
3. Software and hardware manufacturers interested in augmenting their current engineering, operations and sales teams with 3rd Party Integration & Logistics (3PI & 3PL) will find VDS to be a great partner by providing a wide range of value added services that include, Supply Chain Optimization, BOM Management, Build Instruction Management, ISO guided document and quality control, and sales and marketing channel development solutions.
