Updated Statement from the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat regarding flooding in the National Capital Region


OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - May 9, 2017) - Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat

The Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat issued the following updated statement in response to flooding in the National Capital Region:

There will be a return to normal operations on Wednesday, May 10. Government buildings will be open, and employees are expected to return to work.

Employees are encouraged to check local road conditions on the Quebec Transport and Ontario Transport websites. The use of public transportation is encouraged to minimize congestion on roadways.

The Government of Canada, through the Government Operations Centre, continues to monitor and assess the national flooding situation carefully as it continues to evolve.
