uptime software Announces Customer Advisory Board

New Customer Advisory Board to Counsel uptime on Customer Needs and Help Drive Improvements in Systems Management Software

TORONTO--(Marketwire - October 18, 2010) -  uptime software, Inc. announced today that it has formed a Customer Advisory Board of experienced, objective Information Technology (IT) executives and experts. By establishing the advisory board, the company is strengthening its relationship and communication with a representative group of customers across a broad spectrum of industries in which up.time (the company's systems management software) is currently being used.

The Board will serve as a forum to exchange ideas on the direction of the systems management market space and to discuss simplifying the management and monitoring of virtual, physical and cloud environments for mid-enterprise companies. This ongoing interaction will facilitate the gathering of knowledge and experience from a broad range of individuals that represent the interests of leading companies. Customer Advisory Board members represent organizations spanning a variety of industries. Its participants are recognized industry leaders and senior management decision makers responsible for developing and implementing forward-thinking strategies for their organizations.

The founding group of clients consists of customers including: Mount Sinai Hospital, Bank of Montreal, Neiman Marcus, British Columbia Lottery Corporation, Black Hills Corporation, Lawson Software,, Gwinnett County Government, Cogeco Cable, and Statins Serum Institute.

"Establishing a customer advisory council is an integral part of uptime software's overall strategy," said Alex Bewley, CTO of uptime software. "Since our inception, customers have been the force behind our drive to improve up.time, our systems management software. The feedback provided by valued customers and partners is priceless, and so we have formed this Board as another step in honing our listening skills and looking for ways to improve upon our technology as well as our total customer experience."

Advisory Board members will act as a barometer of systems management issues to help uptime software stay abreast of real-world strategic and business challenges facing IT departments. The Board will provide recommendations on areas for growth and play a part in helping determine the future direction of uptime software's initiatives.

"As part of the Enterprise Infrastructure for Capital Markets at BMOFG, up.time plays an essential role in helping monitor our complex and heterogeneous infrastructure that includes Windows, Unix, Linux and VMware. I'm happy to be selected as a Customer Advisory Board member and look forward to helping uptime software improve its systems management suite," said Sorin Manta, Senior Business Technology Specialist at the Bank of Montreal, one of Canada's "Big Five" banks with a large international trading presence.

Also contributing to the board is Paul Farrell from Black Hills Corporation (BHC). BHC, based out of Rapid City, S.D., serves 763,300 natural gas and electric utility customers in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming.

"We depend on virtualization in our infrastructure to drive performance and availability while increasing cost savings. up.time has helped us accomplish this with its deep VMware monitoring capabilities, while providing easy and affordable licensing that can't be beat. When we were first invited to be part of the uptime Customer Advisory Board, we were excited at the opportunity to provide feedback and IT industry knowledge that could help positively influence the direction of up.time, their systems management software," said Paul Farrell, Black Hills Corporation.
