Uranium Anomaly on DIOS' Hotish Project

MONTREAL, CANADA--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 14, 2006) - DIOS EXPLORATION INC. (TSX VENTURE:DOS) reports a uranium anomaly on its HOTISH property, on the western contact of the Otish Sedimentary Basin. Compilation work confirms that a lake-bottom sediment survey completed by Uranerz over the area shows a no. 1 grade anomaly that is actually located directly on the HOTISH property itself, near the unconformity contact. Further work needs to be completed to track down the bedrock source of this unexplained anomaly. The HOTISH property, a large diamond exploration property wholly-owned by DIOS for the last 4 years, covers the western unconformity between a Proterozoic age Basin and an Archean basement. Such a geological context is worldwide known for its uranium potential, as highlighted by a large land position more recently acquired by Cameco Corporation, the world's largest uranium producer, directly east of DIOS.

DIOS also owns the HOTISH EAST block, directly adjacent to the STRATECO property, hosting the Matoush uranium-bearing structure The HOTISH property is contiguous to the Beaver Lake uranium occurrence property.

Evaluation of the HOTISH property U3O8 potential is ongoing and possible partnerships are evaluated at this point to further advance the development of the project.

M.-J. Girard, C.E.O. of DIOS, worked for many years as a professional geologist in uranium exploration in the late seventies, in the Otish Sedimentary Basin. The sharp increase in U3O8 prices as well as the world demand for uranium as an energy alternative certainly enhances the uranium potential of the HOTISH property. DIOS is also checking for Matoush Type Structures across the unconformity contact.

DIOS is a significant diamond explorer in Quebec. At least three (3) distinct kimberlitic occurrences were defined by DIOS on HOTISH. These occur as 1-2 meters wide dykes. A one-foot kimberlitic float some tens kilometers up-ice has been found, but its source has not yet been found. DIOS will pursue diamond exploration on specific high priority targets.
