Uranium North Discovers Historic Data Increasing the Thickness, Grade and Size of KAM South Uranium Showing

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - June 12, 2007) - Uranium North Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:UNR) reports that recently discovered historic drill hole results demonstrate the thickness, grade and size of the KAM South uranium showing on the South Baker project are much better than originally estimated. The drill holes confirm high-grade uranium over several intervals from near surface to a depth of 140-metres downhole along a mineralized zone intersected by three drill holes over a distance of 250 metres.

The KAM South zone is highlighted by drill hole DDH-2 which intersected five uranium zones including 1 metre of 0.23% U3O8, 1 metre of 0.05% U308, 3 metres of 0.13% U308 and 2 metres of 0.17% U308 and drill hole DDH -3 which intersected 3 metres of 0.17% U3O8 including 1 metre of 0.44% U3O8.

The KAM prospect is comprised of north and south mineralized zones located approximately 900 metres apart. Historically ten holes were drilled on the project in 1982 by Urangesellschaft Canada Limited. Nine were drilled in the KAM South zone and one on the KAM North zone. Four of the drill holes at the south zone intersected uranium mineralization as shown in the table below. The single hole drilled into the north zone also encountered uranium mineralization in the same geological rock type as the south zone. Based on drill hole data, the strike length of the mineralized zone is a minimum of 250 metres and appears to be open to the south and north indicating that uranium mineralization could extend over 900 metres to KAM North.

The holes were drilled on an azimuth of 070 degrees at a dip of -50 degrees

In addition, drill hole DDH-1 intersected uranium mineralization in three horizons east of DDH-2. Only one sample was analyzed which showed a U3O8 content of 0.015% over 1 metre. DDH 2 and DDH 3 were both drilled within an area covered with radioactive boulders, while DDH-5 was outside the boulder field by an estimated 100 metres. The presence of uranium rich boulders suggest that the mineralization occurs at the surface beneath about 5 to 10 metres of overburden.

KAM South is marked by a 1600 metre east-west trending radioactive boulder train with boulders assaying up to 4.04% U3O8 with average values of 0.69% U3O8. KAM North is marked by a 60 by 50 metre boulder field, with assays returning values up to 5% U3O8 with average values of 2.0% U3O8.

A considerable amount of additional drilling was recommended by Urangesellschaft on the KAM North and KAM South occurrences in 1982. There are no known reports of this drilling being carried out.

The work program for 2007 by Uranium North will include airborne geophysics accompanied by ground prospecting and mapping to gain a better understanding of the controls on and extent of uranium mineralization prior to drilling. Since uranium mineralization at KAM occurs with pyrite, IP ground geophysical techniques will be considered to help establish the extent of mineralization to the north and south of KAM South and between KAM North and KAM South which is about 900 metres.
