Uranium North Resources Corp.: Airborne Geophysics Identifies New Targets and Corroborates Historic Uranium Prospects on South Baker

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 11, 2007) - Uranium North Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:UNR) announces that preliminary airborne geophysical survey data over the 100% owned South Baker Property in Nunavut identifies new prospective uranium targets and corroborates known prospects on the property.

The 794,379 acre South Baker property hosts up to 12 known historic uranium prospects, five of which have drill-confirmed uranium mineralization.

This is the first comprehensive survey flown in the area since 1976. Using modern airborne radiometric and magnetic methods Uranium North has identified numerous new anomalies and detected previously known key prospects such as KAM, Hawk and L1.

Highlights from initial review of the preliminary magnetic and total count radiometric data for the property are provided below. More detailed information will be provided upon completion of a comprehensive final interpretation of the geophysical data.

Hawk Prospect - Several radiometric anomalies have been identified near the known Hawk uranium prospect. These anomalies are 200-500 metres in diameter and include areas coincident with boulder samples collected in 2007 that have yielded U3O8 values ranging from less than 0.1 to 4.39%. At least two of the radiometric anomalies appear to be new and untested by previous explorers.

KAM Prospect - Linear magnetic low features identified from the magnetic data, which may relate to structurally controlled alteration associated with uranium mineralization, are coincident with a uranium bearing boulder train that extends for approximately two kilometres. Further, a radiometric anomaly identified along the magnetic low feature is coincident with uraniferous boulders collected in 2007 that have yielded U3O8 values ranging from less than 0.1 to 2.98%.

L1 Prospect - A radiometric anomaly has been identified at L1. It is coincident with uranium enriched boulders collected in 2007 that yielded U3O8 values ranging from less than 0.1 to 3.7%.

A total of 16,500 line kilometres of geophysical surveying was completed by Terraquest Limited between late August and mid October 2007. The majority of the survey was flown along lines 200 metres apart with 100 metres line spacing over the KAM and L1 prospects. Approximately 74% of the property was surveyed before the program was terminated, due to weather conditions.

Also in 2007, a total of 873 rock samples and 269 soil samples were collected on the property. Laboratory analyses have been received and are currently subject to compilation and interpretation.
