Urban Airship Unveils Beta Push Messaging Service for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8, Powered by Windows Azure

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - Oct 31, 2012) - Urban Airship, a leading provider of high-performance push messaging to mobile devices, today announced its beta push messaging support for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 devices with Windows Azure providing the backend cloud infrastructure. Urban Airship has also signed an alliance agreement with Microsoft Corp. to provide push messaging services on Windows Azure.

Developers can get started immediately by adding Urban Airship's new single codebase client library to their apps for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8.
