Urban Radio Leader Radio One Adds AdGent Digital's Tweetology to Homepages of 49 Local Websites in 15 Markets

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - November 22, 2010) - AdGent Digital, the only global media and technology company to provide both audience delivery systems and proprietary social media platforms for premium publishers and advertisers, today announced that it has entered into an agreement to launch Tweetology, its tweet-curating widget, on the homepages of 49 websites in 15 markets operated by Radio One, the largest radio broadcasting company that primarily serves African-American and urban listeners, and its wholly owned subsidiary Interactive One.

Tweetology is the most advanced curator of Twitter content available capturing real time streaming Tweets based on contributors and keywords the publisher chooses. Tweetology widgets are totally controlled by publishers displaying Tweets with well defined controls, filters, and management tools expected from the most sophisticated Content Management System (CMS). The unit can be sponsored by an advertiser and wrapped to look like anything the publisher or advertiser wants. The content controls assure a brand safe environment for Tweetology sponsors.

Both Radio One and AdGent Digital can sell sponsorships for Tweetology under a revenue sharing agreement. Advertisers can buy sponsorship on a geographical basis choosing to have a presence in any of the 15 markets that this agreement covers. Moreover, AdGent can network Radio One's audience with other similar audiences to provide marketers with reach beyond the urban music sites.

"Tweetology will engage our listeners and give them another reason to get excited by our websites. Anytime as a listener you can contribute to a community on a given topic and see the results in real time, you build loyalty to our brand," says Dan Shelley, General Manager of Digital for Radio One.

"Twitter is one of the most popular and engaging real-time communication tools on the web. With our simple-to-use interface, Radio One local stations can harness the power of Twitter to create highly-focused, engaging Twitter streams about any subject in the Twitterverse," says Cameron Yuill, founder and CEO of AdGent Digital. "With the Tweetology widget, Radio One can increase the time people stay on their sites as users can tweet directly from the widget without being ported over to Twitter."
