UrbanPromise Miami Founders Dr. Ana M. Ojeda and Kristy Nuñez and UrbanPromise USA Founder and President Dr. Bruce Main.

As a non-profit organization dedicated to providing children in under-resourced communities with opportunities to develop and succeed, UrbanPromise has been serving the city of Camden, N.J. for the past 25 years. Now, under the leadership of founders Ana M. Ojeda, Psy.D and Kristy Nuñez, Esq., UrbanPromise Miami brings its programs to communities in Miami-Dade County. UrbanPromise Miami's aim is to reduce crime rates and increase graduation rates through afterschool, summer camp, and other supplemental programs for children living in high-risk urban areas.

To celebrate its inauguration, UrbanPromise Miami will host a cocktail reception at the beautiful new Coral Gables Museum. The celebration is expected to draw more than 300 guests and will include a silent auction and raffle. Held in the Museum's outdoor plaza, the event will feature live music from People You Know, a seven-member band whose renditions of 1960s and '70s classic rock and pop hits has garnered an avid following throughout Miami.

In addition, Dr. Bruce Main, founder and President of UrbanPromise USA in Camden, N.J., will provide guest remarks, and teens will share testimonials of their experiences in UrbanPromise's unique teen job training and leadership program, the StreetLeader Program.

Tickets ($40 in advance, $50 at the door) include hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. All proceeds will benefit UrbanPromise Miami.
