U.S. Agency Looking North of the Border for Broadcast Talent

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - November 07, 2014) - IF Management, Inc., a New York based media representation firm, is expanding into Canada. IF currently has national and regional talent in both the news and sports industries, throughout the US as well as internationally.

"We know there's a lot of talent in Canada, and we're confident we can provide the same services that our clients in the States have come to enjoy," says IF's Sr. Director of Broadcasting Josh Santry. "We're going to be aggressive establishing relationships, finding opportunities and negotiating contracts, but we're also going to be working with clients on every aspect of their on-air performance, from pacing and delivery to their on-air style."

As part of its investment in the Canadian market, IF recently hired Ashlea Kay as its Sr. Director of Canadian Broadcasting. Kay, who will be based in Toronto, has worked as a Senior Producer, Reporter and Writer for a number of networks in western and eastern Canada.

"Over the years I've worked with some great Canadian talent. We have some amazing broadcasters and it's about time that they are recognized internationally," Kay says.

IF currently represents a handful of Canadians, including Dan Shulman, the lead PxP voice for ESPN's coverage of MLB and NCAA Basketball, John Barr, an Investigative Reporter at ESPN, and Ravi Baichwal, the Weekend Anchor at WLS-TV (Chicago).

"We're very excited to be entering the Canadian market and think we found the perfect person to lead the charge in Ashlea," says IF president Steve Herz, who founded the company in 1996. "We're a selective group here; protective of what we've built."

"I'm very excited about this opportunity. The IF Management team in New York gets it. They've seen the talent here and are continually impressed. That's why I know this is great fit," says Kay.

IF's nearly 200 clients span from the network/national cable level to syndication to the top local markets. News clients include Anchors, Reporters, Correspondents, Business Analysts, Meteorologists, Hosts and Experts in various niches. Sports clients include Play-By-Play Announcers, Sideline Reporters, Studio and Talk Show Hosts (TV & Radio), and Former Players & Coaches Turned Analysts.
