U.S. Army Is Looking for Contractor to Provide Rubber Supplies for a Gun Range

Solicitation Calls for GSA Schedule Bids

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwired - February 05, 2016) - The U.S. Army released a solicitation on February 5, 2016 for rubber supplies for a gun range. The solicitation calls for GSA Schedule bids only. Sellers bidding on this opportunity must have the items requested on an existing GSA Schedule. The Schedule must either be in the seller's name or the seller must be able to document its ability to act as an agent of a partner's Schedule.

Sellers must not bid more than their applicable contract ceiling price, excluding the FedBid Fee, for contract-specific items. If FedBid receives notice that, due to inclusion of the FedBid Fee, the Selected Bid's line item pricing is higher than the Selected Seller's applicable published government contract pricing, the FedBid Fee will be reduced to ensure the Selected Bid's line item pricing does not exceed the Selected Seller's applicable contract pricing.

Sellers may offer Open Market items only in accordance with the approved Terms and Conditions of their respective GSA Schedule and upon approval from the soliciting Contracting Officer. Information regarding GSA Schedules can be found at GSA.gov.

The solicitation is for: 1,900 Dura-Bloc 24"X 12" X 9", 500 Dura-Panel 24"X24"X 2"; 500 Adhesive 3M; 550 Poly Blk 10.5 oz.; 40 Gum, Rubber, 40A-Dura Tan, 48"X1/8"X50" R; 200 Boxed Assy-Sight-Bloc; and 1,350 Rubber-1" Granular, 50 lb. bag. The winning bidder must deliver the items to Fort Stewart in Georgia.

The equipment must be new. The winning bidder cannot deliver remanufactured, used or "grey" market items. The solicitation also requires bids remain good for 30 days.

Only businesses certified as "small" may submit bids and must do so by February 18, 2016 and 1 p.m.

For this solicitation, MICC Fort Stewart intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. A seller may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. MICC Fort Stewart is taking this action in an effort to improve both seller access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, completed, real-time bids.

All responsible Sellers that respond to this solicitation must submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at FedBid.com. There is no cost to register, review procurement data, or make a bid on FedBid.com. Sellers that are not currently registered to use FedBid.com must do so before submitting a bid.

The winning bidder must submit a payment request electronically, within 10 days of being awarded the contract, using the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF). Though there is no charge to use WAWF, companies must complete a registration before using it.

Also, only businesses with a current System for Award Management (SAM) Registration may bid. Businesses interested in bidding on this contract who aren't registered in SAM are encouraged to reach out to US Federal Contractor Registration, the world's largest third-party government registration firm. It can help a company complete its registration, get on the GSA Schedule, and more, including registering to accept payments via WAWF.
