U.S.-Based Del Sol, the World's Leading Brand of Color-Changing Products, Signs Major Agreements With Canada's Leading Pharmacy, Specialty, Airport, and Tourism Retailers

BARRIE, ON and SANDY, UT--(Marketwire - June 9, 2010) - U.S.-based Del Sol has signed major sales agreements with Canada's leading pharmacy, specialty, airport and tourism retailers including the Calgary Stampede, Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexall, HDS retail, the Toronto Zoo, the Fairmont Hotels and Resorts and many other better Canadian destination and tourism retailers.

The contracts cover thousands of retail outlets and represent half of all new sales for Del Sol -- the world's leading brand of color-changing product -- headquartered in Sandy, Utah. Through a proprietary and exclusive Spectrachrome® Technology, originally developed by NASA's space program, Del Sol has perfected a color changing technique that is used on accessories, T-shirts, shorts, tote bags, Frisbees, nail polish and much more -- covering nearly 21,000 separate items. When exposed to the sun, the products change color.

"You've got to see the products change color in the sun firsthand to really understand what Del Sol is all about," said Jeff Pedersen, Del Sol President and CEO. All Del Sol products come with a lifetime color-changing guarantee. "The Canadian market represents a significant growth opportunity for Del Sol -- not only from the standpoint of sales, but more importantly, the excitement we feel partnering with our Canadian neighbors," said Pedersen.

Del Sol (www.delsol.com) is the major merchandise retailer at the 2010 Calgary Stampede and will sponsor a number of special events this summer at the Stampede, the Niagara Park Commission during Canada Day celebrations and at the Capital Expo in Edmonton.

During the company's 16-year history, Del Sol products have been sold exclusively through the company's branded Del Sol stores primarily in the Caribbean, where Del Sol is the number one apparel brand, including the cruise industry. Currently, Del Sol operates more than 128 stores in 21 countries as well as three in Canada at the West Edmonton Mall, Peakes Wharf in Charlottetown, and Bishops Landing in Halifax. 2010 marks the first year that Del Sol is making their color-changing products available to better retailers in Canada.

"While new to Canada it's a proven retail brand that appeals to Canadian tastes. More importantly, it's the most exciting product innovation to come along in many years," said Bill Moore, president of Moore Brands.
