US Congressional Candidate Utah Rep. Stephen Sandstrom Officially Resigns Seat as Utah Representative

After Completing Successful, Multi-Issue Legislative Session, Rep. Sandstrom Puts Full Emphasis on 4th District Congressional Campaign & Makes Saratoga Springs Home

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - Mar 29, 2012) - U.S. Congressional 4th District candidate Stephen Sandstrom, whose leadership was instrumental in the approval of several new bills during the recent legislative session, has officially resigned his seat as a Utah Representative. Effective March 31, Sandstrom delivered his resignation today to fully focus his efforts on meeting with state delegates and constituents before the GOP State Convention on April 21.

Although he only lived 16 blocks from Utah's new 4th District, Sandstrom recently moved his family to Saratoga Springs to better align and to become a true geographic resident. In the coming weeks, Sandstrom will call for discussion that focuses on the area's concerns and issues, including economic growth and jobs, family and educational issues, and energy / natural resources, and security impacts.

"It wasn't a hard decision for me to move my family to Saratoga Springs," said Sandstrom. "Even though we only lived a short distance away, I felt the 4th District was so new that living within district lines at this juncture was very important. I realize the move was not required by law but it just felt right for me and my family."

The Sandstrom campaign will regularly update with meeting and event opportunities.
