US Ecology, Inc. Agreement to Purchase Waste Treatment and Storage Facility Expires


BOISE, ID--(Marketwire - February 8, 2011) - US Ecology, Inc. (NASDAQ: ECOL) ("the Company") today announced that its definitive agreement ("Agreement") with Siemens Water Technologies Corp. ("Siemens") announced on August 30, 2010, to acquire the assets of a permitted Treatment, Storage and Disposal facility ("the Facility") located in Vernon, California has expired. Certain conditions required to close have not been met and the parties did not extend the Agreement. While the Company remains in discussions with Siemens regarding the facility, no assurance can be made that those discussions will result in an amendment to the expired Agreement or a new agreement.
