U.S. Foodservice Acquires Cerniglia Products


ROSEMONT, IL--(Marketwire - May 3, 2011) - U.S. Foodservice, one of America's leading foodservice distributors, today announced the purchase of Cerniglia Products, a prominent distributor of Italian specialty foods to the southern Wisconsin market. The company, currently located in Middleton, Wis., will become part of the U.S. Foodservice-Milwaukee division. Vito Cerniglia, former owner of Cerniglia Products, will join U.S. Foodservice-Milwaukee as a consultant.

Vito Cerniglia said that like U.S. Foodservice, Cerniglia Products is dedicated to delivering superior products and service to customers. "I'm especially excited that Cerniglia customers will have access to more products and resources that will help them grow their business."

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
