U.S. Imaging Selects Medinformatix to Implement New Radiology Information System

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - June 11, 2007) - U.S. Imaging, one of the largest and most technologically advanced Radiologist groups in Texas, has selected Medinformatix to design and implement a new electronic Radiology Information System that launched "live" on June 4, 2007, it was announced today by Kyle Richey, Chief Information Officer of U.S. Imaging.

"During the past 12 months, U.S. Imaging's Selection Committee has been traveling cross-country and interviewing companies to identify the best candidate to provide a new 'paperless' Radiology Information System," said Richey. "With eight locations and more than 110 users on the system at any given time with over 125,000 image reads per year, we knew it was vital for U.S. Imaging to find the perfect partner to bring our company into the new revolutionary electronic era of medical healthcare."

"What proved to U.S. Imaging that Medinformatix was the best choice for the task was our company's ability to provide detailed orientated demos and outstanding onsite references," said Thomas McGonigle, Chief Executive Officer of Medinformatix. "Another deciding factor was a demo illustrating the Collection Queue Management system with its ability to assign an individual Patient Type to each charge line. Until now, U.S. Imaging was unable to perform such tasks. In an industry where it is common for companies to have outside billing, Medinformatix saves time and money for companies by bringing the billing inhouse."
