US National Telecom (USNT) Expanding With Direct Link to Honduras; CTO in Honduras This Week
TEGUCIGALPA, HONDURAS--(Marketwire - March 20, 2008) - US National Telecom (PINKSHEETS: USNT), through its wholesale subsidiary, is expanding to Honduras, Central
America by negotiating with a licensed telco operator in Tegucigalpa,
Honduras. The Company's Operational CTO was in Honduras this week to meet
with on-site engineers and to review licensing agreements. The final
negotiations are focused on the exclusive rights for an initial 240
channels of voice capacity, equal to more than 4,000,000 minutes of voice
calls per month. US National Telecom President, Gregory Giagnocavo, said,
"We're oversubscribed in potential contracts to use these lines, before
they are even fully operational in our switch, which indicates the huge
demand. As mentioned before, we anticipate adding Nicaragua and Belize in
the coming months." The company expects to add another 240 channels by the
end of April, bringing capacity to approximately 8,000,000 minutes per
month. The average sale is approximately $0.10 per minute.
USNT is a rapidly growing family of New Generation telecom companies, using
Internet-enabled voice technology, called VoIP. Using VoIP technology, the
Company's network receives an incoming call and directs it to a local
Internet/telco POP (point of presence) where the call is then transported
over the Internet to a local POP, for example, in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
The call then travels the remaining distance over the official,
government-controlled Honduran telephone system to the final intended
destination.
The Company's subsidiary envisions that its position as a wholesale carrier
solutions provider will grow, particularly as it seeks to increase its
share of international voice traffic.
