USHCC Names Claudia Mirza 2016 "Businesswoman of the Year"

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwired - August 15, 2016) - The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) announced today that Claudia Mirza, CEO and Co-Founder of Akorbi, will receive the USHCC's 2016 Businesswoman of the Year Award at the organization's National Convention on October 11th in Miami, FL.

Each year, the USHCC recognizes a female entrepreneur whose outstanding leadership, pioneering spirit, social, and economic contributions exemplify the best of America's business community.

"Claudia started Akorbi with her husband Azam as a home-based translation business nearly 13 years ago. Since then, the company has thrived, with approximately 750 part-time and full time employees. Under Claudia's direction, Akorbi has become the 12th fastest-growing woman owned business in the world.
