UST Global Earns a Spot on 2010 InformationWeek 500 List of Top Technology Innovators Across America

Company's Innovation in Information Technology Category Earns 107th Overall Ranking

MONARCH BEACH, CA--(Marketwire - September 17, 2010) - UST Global®, a leading provider of services and solutions for Global 2000 enterprises, today announced that it ranked 107th on this year's InformationWeek 500, an annual listing of the nation's most innovative users of business technology. The award was based in large part on cutting edge facilities and programs from UST, including its Apple Tree Innovation Center, Eureka idea portal, and Center of Excellence Labs. The 2010 list was revealed this week at a gala awards ceremony at the exclusive InformationWeek 500 Conference taking place at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort, Dana Point, CA.

"We are honored to be recognized by InformationWeek for our innovative processes, technologies, and 'InnnovAngels' -- UST employees that continue to push the boundaries of creative thinking," said Stephanie Moore, Chief Marketing Officer for UST Global. "The award is reflective of 'innovation incubation' that is inherent in everything we do, both internally and for our global client base. From our innovation gym to our business tailoring portal to our employee incentives for creative ideas, innovative thinking is part of our corporate DNA."

UST's most advanced initiative over the last year has been the iterative expansion and support of its Apple Tree Innovation center, an unsupervised, well-equipped location for employees to explore ideas and self-organize on projects as a follow on to the company's successful Center of Excellence labs. The initial efforts fostered in the Apple Tree have been a strong factor in very high employee retention and enthusiasm, increased revenues and customer recognition, and more than 13,000 new ideas submitted to the Eureka idea tracking system.

"Apple Tree has become a regular stop on the tour of our facilities by clients, prospects, and employee candidates, and has been lauded by some of the biggest companies in the world," added Moore.

"For 22 years, the InformationWeek 500 has honored the most innovative users of business technology," said InformationWeek Editor In Chief Rob Preston. "As we start to emerge from the worst recession in decades, the IT focus is now on driving growth -- new sources of revenue, new relationships with customers, even new business models. This year's ranking placed special emphasis on those companies and business technology executives leading that charge."

InformationWeek identifies and honors the nation's most innovative users of information technology with its annual 500 listing and also tracks the technology, strategies, investments and administrative practices of America's best-known companies. Top winners have included: CME Group, Conway, National Semiconductor, Kimberly-Clark, Hilton Hotels and Unum. The InformationWeek 500 rankings are unique among corporate rankings as it spotlights the power of innovation in information technology, rather than simply identifying the biggest IT spenders.
