Utah Genius Prepares to Honor Award Winners and James Lee Sorenson

2011 Utah Genius Ceremony, March 24 to Reflect Vigorous Creativity in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - March 8, 2011) - Prolific inventors and creative minds from across the state of Utah will meet at the Utah Genius 2011 awards luncheon at noon on March 24, 2011 at the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City to be honored for their genius. This year's Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to James Lee Sorenson, founder and former chairman and CEO of Sorenson Communications. The keynote speaker for the Utah Genius event will be Utah Governor Gary R. Herbert.

Utah Genius 2011 will recognize even more innovation than previous years. Attendees will be able to see an Honoree Showcase where patented inventions will be displayed so attendees can see first hand the level of excellence in the state of Utah.

The Utah Genius event is presented by Bateman IP Law Group and KSL.
The 2010 Utah Genius will recognize the following:

  • Utah's Top 20 Companies by Number of Patents Issued
  • Utah's Top 5 Cities by Number of Patents
  • Utah's Top 5 Cities by Number of Patents Per Capita
  • Utah's Top 20 Trademark Registrants
  • Lifetime Achievement Award
