Crowdsourcing QA Leader Comes Out on Top at 7th Annual Stevie(R) Awards

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - June 23, 2009) - uTest, the world's largest software testing marketplace, last night won the Stevie Award for "Best New Company of the Year" in The 2009 American Business Awards. More than 2,600 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted, and more than 200 executives across the country participated in the judging process.

uTest won the honor over a field of worthy and established finalists, including Aster Data Systems, Carpio, Evolve IP, HubSpot, Jivox, Mazooma and Zuora. While accepting the award, uTest CEO Doron Reuveni noted, "This was an extremely competitive category with many innovative nominees. I am honored to accept this award on behalf of twenty uTest employees and more than 17,000 professional software testers in our community."

Since its launch in August 2008, uTest has built its global testing community from 152 countries around the world. In less than a year, the company has acquired more than 120 new customers, expanded into gaming and mobile app testing, doubled its number of employees and raised $5.2 million in a B round of funding.

"Crowdsourcing is the future of software testing," said Reuveni, "and uTest is leading the way in this space. The uTest platform is the vehicle through which companies can tap into the global community of testing professionals to launch higher quality applications, get to market faster, and dramatically reduce their QA costs."

The awards were presented during ceremonies at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. The ceremonies were hosted by Cheryl Casone of Fox Business Network and broadcast nationwide on radio by the Business TalkRadio Network.
