Vacuum Pump Foreline Trap From MV Products Protects Central Source Vacuum Systems

NORTH BILLERICA, MA--(Marketwire - Apr 26, 2011) - MV Products has introduced a vacuum foreline trap for protecting all types of large scale vacuum systems from the caustic byproducts of processes such as drying, distillation, degassing, evaporation, and pneumatic conveying.

The MV Multi-Trap® Vacuum Inlet Trap features a large knockdown stage to collect heavy solids and condensables and can incorporate up to six separate stages, each equipped with multiple filter elements, to provide up to 99.999% efficiency. Designed for protecting central source vacuum systems from damage caused by acids, solvents, particulates, water vapor, polymers, and other contaminants, traps can easily be tailored to specific processes.

Suitable for vacuum systems up to 1,000 CFM, the MV Multi-Trap® Vacuum Inlet Trap is constructed of stainless steel and can be configured with ISO-80 or ISO-100 flanges. Replaceable filter elements are offered in 4-1/2" and 9-1/2" tall sizes and include stainless steel gauze, copper gauze, molecular sieve, activated alumina, activated charcoal, Sodasorb®, and pleated polypropylene. Options for these vacuum foreline traps include cooling coils, straight-through, and right angle ports.

The MV Multi-Trap® Vacuum Inlet Trap is priced from $2,175.00 (list), depending upon configuration. Literature and pricing are available on request.

About MV Products division of Mass-Vac, Inc.

Protecting vacuum pumps, people, and the environment, Mass-Vac, Inc. was founded in 1971 to serve customers in need of vacuum pump support and service. The MV Products division was established after years of field experience rebuilding vacuum pumps and analyzing the reasons why they failed, along with extensive research and development. As a result, the firm has developed a complete line of vacuum inlet traps, exhaust traps, mist eliminators, and oil filtration systems for a wide range of manufacturing, laboratory, and commercial applications including universities and hospitals.

MV Products specializes in solving the process contamination problems associated vacuum systems that are used with processes such as MOCVD, HVPE, PECVD, or LPCVD which generate high volumes of particulates. These processes, of course, are used in manufacturing green products such as solar cells, HB-LEDs, and Li-Ion batteries. Mass-Vac, Inc. is an active member of SEMI and the American Vacuum Society.
