Vail Resorts Deploys Proginet's Advanced Managed File Transfer Solution to Secure Customer Data

GARDEN CITY, N.Y.--(CCNMatthews - Nov 2, 2005) -

Proginet Corporation (OTCBB:PRGF), developer of software to enable the secure integration of data across enterprises of all sizes, today announced that Vail Resorts, a leading mountain resort operator in the United States, has deployed its managed file transfer technology to secure and control the company's key operational data.

Vail operates many sites and resorts throughout the United States, and securing and integrating operational data has become an increasingly complex challenge: protecting customers' personal information is a top priority, as is ensuring compliance with mandates like Sarbanes-Oxley.

"We chose Proginet's technology because it helps ensure the security of the data at the core of our business," said Mike Bahr, IT Project Manager at Vail Resorts. "That's absolutely critical for us. But the bonus is that it's helping us integrate several applications on the back end so that many processes can be automated. Delegated administration is also proving invaluable: it's allowing us to roll more and more responsibility out to the business users - reducing the everyday burden on IT and improving overall efficiency."

"Vail Resorts is at the pinnacle of the hospitality industry and we're very pleased that our technology helps them create a secure, reliable network for data transmission," said Jack Gazzola, Proginet's Vice President of Sales. "Customer-centric institutions like Vail face unique challenges in today's marketplace; security and compliance issues have changed how businesses manage information.

Vail Resorts will use Proginet's advanced managed file transfer solution to connect its many remote sites and resorts with the organization's main data center. Several third-party vendors also use the technology to connect in to Vail, with the number scheduled to increase to several dozen in the coming year. While corporate use will focus initially on e-commerce and sales and marketing, Bahr expects that other business groups, including finance and human resources, will incorporate the software into ongoing operations.
