Valsef Group: Ouissam Youssef Receives Chamber of Commerce Canada-Lebanon and Industry "Technology and Information" Award


MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Nov. 15, 2016) - On October 22, the Canada-Lebanon Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented its Technology and Information Award to Mr. Ouissam Youssef, the president and CEO of Valsef Group. Mr. Youssef was recognized at the CCICL's 19th Cedar and Maple Gala, an event held at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Montreal to celebrate the achievements of young entrepreneurs of Lebanese origin making their mark in Quebec's business world and beyond.

Hosted by Mme. Céline Nehmé, a notary at Grenier Gagnon, and Mr. Mohamed Badreddine, a lawyer at Fasken Martineau, the gala was presided over by co-chairs Mr. Ghassan Deko, VP of financial commercial services at RBC (downtown Montreal) and Mr. Georges Karam, co-founder of Atelka and director of commercial affairs at Genetec. More than 385 guests, including Quebec, Canadian, and Lebanese political figures, business leaders, and prominent members of the Lebanese community, came together to bestow awards in five categories, including Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre; Mr. Jean-Marc Fournier, mnister responsible for Canadian relations and Canadian Francophonie, Government House Leader, and MP for St. Laurent; and Mr. Fadi Ziadeh, general consul of Lebanon in Montreal.

Mr. Ouissam Youssef, a 2004 Concordia graduate in computer engineering, has been launching businesses since he was 15 years old.
