Vancouver Island Health Authority to Deploy MediSolution's Virtuo Revenue Cycle Management Solution

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - May 20, 2008) - MediSolution Ltd. (TSX:MSH), today announced that Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA), has purchased MediSolution's Virtuo Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) solution. The Virtuo RCM system will be implemented throughout the region's network of hospitals, clinics, centres, health units and residential facilities and will replace multiple legacy Account Receivable/Billing Systems. The contract includes over $700,000 in software licensing and professional services revenue and will be implemented over the next twelve months.

VIHA provides health care services to over 730,400 people on Vancouver Island, on the islands of the Georgie Strait, and in the mainland communities north of Powell River and south of Rivers Inlet. Over 16,000 health care professionals, technicians and support staff and approximately 1,600 physicians provide patient servicesthrough a network of hospitals, clinics, centres, health units, and residential facilities that includes 1487 acute care beds and over 5600 residential care beds/assisted living units.

The Virtuo Revenue Cycle Management solution with its flexible, exception-based workflow engine will be used to streamline the patient billing processes and create a common service delivery platform across the entire VIHA region. The scalable Virtuo Revenue Cycle Management solution is designed to speed up claim submissions by facilitating the posting of electronic remittances, calculating expected reimbursements and automatically generating electronic claim inquiries.The MediSolution team will also develop and deploy Cashiering functionality for VIHA which will enable the region to augment and upgrade existingelectronic cashiering capability that will allow the Authority to retire manual receipting systems and deploy an electronic cashiering solution to all sites allowing for the standardization of receipting and bank deposit functions.
