Vancouverites Pulled a Plane to Support ORBIS Canada's Mission to Save Sight Worldwide

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - May 14, 2011) -

ORBISPull for Sight event kicked off today at the Vancouver International Airport. Close to 600 people joined in at the first stop of the ORBIS Pull for Sight national tour, which will help to give visually impaired children in the developing world the opportunity to receive much needed eye care.

A total of 20 teams competed in today's plane pull competition to pull a 60-tonne FedEx 757 cargo plane 12 feet. Alex Huynh's team claimed the title for the fastest pull. Fairchild Radio team was named the most enthusiastic team. The ORBIS plane pull event will also be held on August 20th in Toronto, and August 28th in Montréal.
