Vangent and Customer Value Partners, Inc., Sign Mentor-Protege Agreement

New Partnership Will Foster Small & Large Business Relationships as Part of DHS Initiative

ARLINGTON, VA--(Marketwire - November 8, 2010) -  Vangent, Inc., a leading global provider of information management and strategic business process solutions, today announced an agreement with Customer Value Partners, Inc. (CVP) as part of the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Mentor-Protégé program. The partnership will enable collaboration between the two companies to enhance CVP's competitiveness, independence and development, and to strengthen Vangent's offerings. This is the first time Vangent has participated in a Mentor-Protégé program.

The Mentor-Protégé program was designed by DHS to encourage large contractor firms to provide developmental assistance to small businesses, especially those owned by veterans, service-disabled veterans and women, in addition to disadvantaged and HUBZone small business. The program also aims to improve the performance of contracts and subcontracts, foster long-term business relationships between prime contractors and subcontractors and strengthen subcontracting opportunities and accomplishments.
