Vangent Announces New Human Resources Leadership in Two Divisions

Bailey Promoted to Lead HR Operations for Civilian and National Security Division; Markmann Promoted to Lead HR Operations for Health Solutions Division

ARLINGTON, VA--(Marketwire - Apr 26, 2011) - Vangent, Inc., a leading global provider of information management and strategic business process solutions, announced today that Jennifer Bailey and Emily Markmann were promoted to Vice Presidents in the Human Resources (HR) function. Both were previously HR Directors and Business Partners within their respective divisions -- Ms. Bailey in Civilian and National Security and Ms. Markmann in Health Solutions.

Ms. Bailey joined Vangent in July 2002 and has nearly 15 years of experience in Human Resources. In her new position, she will continue as a member of the Civilian and National Security leadership team and lead the HR Operations team of the Civilian and National Security Division. Ms. Bailey will also continue to provide strategic HR support to members of the corporate leadership team, manage senior HR professionals who offer day-to-day support to more than 1,600 employees, and ensure that staff understands and complies with the company's core values. Key customers in the Civilian and National Security Division include the Department of Education, the State Department and the Department of Labor. Ms. Bailey is an expert in employee management, recruiting and performance management.

With 15 years of HR and business operations experience, Ms. Markmann currently provides strategic HR leadership and oversight of Vangent's Health Solutions division, which provides services for Military Health programs, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention. The group is comprised of more than 5,000 employees in seven locations across the U.S. Ms. Markmann led the HR component and was integral to the successful acquisition of Buccaneer Computer Systems and Service, Inc. In her new role, Ms. Markmann will continue to be a key member of the Health Solutions and HR Leadership teams and will oversee a team of HR professionals across the country who provide operational support to the programs under the Health Solutions division.
