Vangent Names Giovanna Patterson Senior Vice President of Business Development

Proven Business Development Executive to Guide Vangent's Continued Growth

ARLINGTON, VA--(Marketwire - May 5, 2008) - Vangent, Inc., a leading global provider of information management and strategic business process outsourcing solutions, has appointed Giovanna Patterson as senior vice president of business development. Patterson brings Vangent more than 20 years of business development and program management experience in the Federal civilian, health, defense, and intelligence sectors. As senior vice president of business development, Patterson will direct Vangent's growth strategy and focus on new market opportunities.

Prior to joining Vangent, Patterson served as vice president and business development director, Global Health Sector for SRA International, Inc. In that role, she led a senior business development team in growing SRA International's $4 billion pipeline of health-related leaders across multiple markets. She also developed strategies and supported capture efforts that contributed more than $1 billion worth of new awards, often penetrating new agencies.

Additionally, Patterson led the integration of SRA International's largest acquisition, Constella Group, which included 1,600 employees operating in more than 40 countries. She managed a team of 40 senior executives to align business functions including finance, infrastructure, branding, communications, employee benefits, contracts, facilities, security, and procurement. Previously, Patterson held multiple management positions at TRW, including program manager for the company's intelligence division.

Patterson holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She also serves on the Industry Advisory Council and as co-chair of the Northern Virginia Technology Council's Health IT Committee.
