Vangent Partners With Senture to Support 2010 Census Operations
Senture Was Selected in a Competitive Bidding Process and for Their Capabilities, Capacity and Past Experience
ARLINGTON, VA--(Marketwire - January 6, 2010) - Vangent, Inc., a leading global provider of
information management and strategic business process services, today
announced that, as a subcontract partner to Lockheed Martin, it has
partnered with Senture to support 2010 Census call center operations based
in Sandy, Utah.
Senture is a small business with headquarters in London, Kentucky and
expects to hire approximately 1,500 people in support of the
contract. Senture's employees will work in commercial call center
facilities in London, Kentucky and Monticello, Kentucky. Most employees
will be hired as phone agents and support staff to perform Telephone
Questionnaire Assistance (TQA) and Coverage Follow-up (CFU) call center
work for Vangent.
"Senture was selected based on their experience in federal government call
center work," said Mac Curtis, President and CEO of Vangent. "Vangent has
partnered with Senture in the past. They understand the business and will
add value to the program."
In January 2010, Vangent plans to begin hiring approximately 1,600 full-
and part-time employees to staff a Sandy, Utah-based call center that will
serve as an information resource and hotline for U.S. residents who have
questions about how to complete the 2010 Census form and general questions
about the Census. Other work performed at this location includes outbound
calls to residents to follow up with households to ensure that no one was
missed or counted more than once. This work is expected to conclude no
later than August 2010.
Ideal candidates include full- or part-time job seekers, retirees, college
students, unemployed persons and ambulatory-challenged persons. Vangent is
an equal opportunity employer and seeks to hire a diverse workforce to
support this effort. Off-hour schedules and foreign language speaking
agents will receive additional differential pay. Job seekers are
encouraged to apply at www.Vangent.com.
In addition to the Sandy, Utah site, Vangent will run similar call centers
in Lawrence, Kansas and Phoenix, Arizona. Vangent will also operate a paper
data capture center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Vangent is part of the Lockheed Martin-led Decennial Response Integration
System (DRIS) program team responsible for the people, process, technology
and infrastructure for the United States' 2010 Census.
